The Crown CMP017 vent cut out switch senses the temperature of boiling hot water system and stops the unit over heating. The thermostat does this by switching heating to the element off.
The 93c Crown CMP017 vent cut out switch detects when temperature gets to high in the boiling hot water system and open circuits causing power loss to the element protecting the boiler, the switch also has a manual reset button on it.
