Reverse Osmosis Flow Restrictor
Our high-quality push-in fittings, pipe, and plastic plumbing components are designed specifically for reverse osmosis systems, offering reliable performance and simple installation. With push-fit technology, setup is quick and tool-free—just push the tubing all the way in, then pull to lock it securely, creating a sealed connection that holds up under high water pressure. Flow restrictors in reverse osmosis setups commonly use 1/4″ tube x 1/4″ tube fittings to ensure consistent water regulation.
Additionally, these fittings resist chemicals highly and use food-grade materials, making them perfect for pure and potable water applications. However, they are not suitable for compressed air or vacuum use. Designed for ease and dependability, they’re an essential part of any reverse osmosis system.

Materials of construction
Fittings for flow restrictor reverse osmosis systems consist of three parts: durable bodies made from acetal copolymer or polypropylene, double ‘O’ rings in Nitrile rubber or EPDM for a tight seal, and collects with stainless steel teeth to grip tubing securely.
To disconnect: push in collet and remove tube
Fittings are suitable for the following pressures and temperatures.
Temp. | Max Working Pressure 175 psi, 12 bar
Fluid 5 ~ 45c | Ambient -20 ~ 65c
Max.Torque. |
Maximum Torque Values for Plastic Threads BSP, BSPT & NPT.
Plastic threads, commonly used in flow restrictor reverse osmosis systems, are not generally as strong as brass threads. Customers and end users should consider this when selecting products for their RO applications. Over-tightening plastic threads can lead to stress, cracking, and leakage. The maximum torque figures for BSP and BSPT threads used in Tiger fittings—often found in reverse osmosis setups—conform to the relevant BS or international thread standards.
